The Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center Wedding I Photographed

Jennifer and Jason's Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center Wedding was an absolute dream. This venue is one of my personal favorites. It's out in nature and has this enchanting quality to it.

Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center has two different ceremony sites, one with a more woodsy/rustic vibe and another that is a beautiful meadow filled with lush greens. Jennifer and Jason chose the latter for their ceremony and it was incredible. They had a harpist play music throughout the ceremony and also had chandeliers hung throughout the trees.

Orcutt Ranch is surrounded by oak trees and striking evergreen shrubs. Moreover, the center also has a mesmerizing garden, which we of course used for some portraits! The exterior of the center is made entirely of hand-carved wood, which gives off a vintage vibe. The getting ready areas are spacious, light and airy, making for great photos as well! This was truly such an incredible wedding, filled with so much love and joy.

Planning a wedding can be a very difficult task, and there are many wedding venues including Orcutt Ranch Horticultural Center that can make your wedding day memorable. Orcutt Ranch weddings are spectacular and Orcutt Ranch has some of the best amenities for both, the bride, and the groom.

Decide on Your Guest Count Well in Advance

Orcutt Ranch is a venue that I recommend for weddings of 100 people or less, anything more and it can begin to feel very crowded.

This venue has different sections instead of one BIG section, so the issue is that when one has more guests, they are more likely to be placed in different areas. This isn't a bad thing, but it's something to take note of.

Orcutt Ranch Wedding Cost

An Orcutt Ranch wedding cost is estimated at around $1,300 - $2,200 for 6 hours.

Compared to a lot of other venues, this price is amazing, but keep in mind that it only includes the space. It doesn't include any rentals, such as tables, chairs, linens, etc. Those are all things that will have to be brought in separately either with a rental company or through a wedding planner.  

The fee of $1,300 - $2,200 includes the rental space for the ceremony & reception, ass well as 6 hours of event time, excluding set up and clean up time.

Additional hours are available at $192 per hour.

A deposit of $500 is required to save the date.

There are so many important vendors when it comes to wedding planning, but for THIS SPECIFIC venue, I'd say one of the most important vendors will be a wedding planner.

Why?

Because essentially, this is a DIY venue.

The space, though ridiculously magical, doesn't provide rentals.

In theory, it seems like "oh it's not so bad to bring in a few tables and chairs," but trust me, it all can get very complicated and overwhelming VERY fast. Things that will have to be brought in are:

  • Tables
  • Chairs
  • Linens
  • Utensils
  • Plates
  • Drinkware
  • Catering
  • Floral Design & Centerpieces
  • An Arch
  • Runners

A good wedding planner will help you secure all of these things as well as make sure they are all seamlessly brought in the day of the wedding, so all you both have to do is have fun and stay in the moment.
